An Innocuous Sauvignon Blanc with Chicken, Orzo, and Lemon soup

After a a very good five bottle tasting at Susan’s, we had chicken, orzo. and lemon soup - enhanced with an added tin of light and dark meat chicken. the broth from the chicken added to chicken stock to make a cup, some tarragon, and a little bit of lemon peel. We add the chicken and broth to make two bowls of soup each. We had a very innocuous 1997 Bayview Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc - fill a half inch below the long capsule; the cork crumbled upon extraction; little Sauvignon Blanc in nose and flavors, little acidity; with a short innocuous finish.

It made an enjoyable finish to the meal with the innocuous Sauvignon Blanc.
