Amsterdam restaurants?

Thanks. We’re going the week after next.

Of course. I hope you enjoy!

Cafe twee prinsen has some fun natural bottles 4 store fronts away from Klepel. Jura and some burgundy for accessible prices. Dandelion, faure, Labet, Chantereves, etc.

We like BAK, too. Fresh, creative, and delicious. Thanks to all who recommended it.

Really glad you liked it!

Thanks for resurrecting the thread.

Does anyone have any recs for spots outside Amsterdam to spend a night or two, ie a relais & chateaux sort of vibe, or a nice restaurant with rooms. Extra points if it has the sort of wine list that you don’t find in the big cities anymore…,

I remember chatting with some import friends who spoke well of the list here; https://starwinelist.com/wine-place/voltaire

Few weeks ago I went to Bistro de la Mer, nice somewhat casual-ish restaurant with solid 1-star cooking.
Going to De Juwelier (same owner group) for lunch Tuesday. Bak unfortunately not open the days I’m there this time.

Thanks, I’ve been eyeing Bistro de la Mer. Casual, fish focused, solid one star is my sweet spot.

De Juwelier for lunch today. Excellent. Very similar vibe as Bistro de la Mer (same owner and literally next door), the beef tartar was probably the best one Ive ever had.
