Reading @Robert_Dentice’s post on “5 wow wines — different grapes” got me thinking about producers that are able to excel across different varieties and styles, or, in say burgundy, are equally good at red and white within a necessarily narrower range of varieties. I can think of a few such producers, and most happen to be smaller West Coast US producers:

And two comparatively new discoveries for me,

Sabelli Frisch
To me, they are the best wines in the winery lineup! The reds are terrific and the rosés are wonderfully idiosyncratic, but the whites - that’s the absolute peak of LdH range!
But if you don’t like them, that’s only more for me.
Except for Pinot Noir. I’ve tried all the Gali vintages and the new Petaluma Gap one. The PG is at least decent, but not much more than that. Gali? meh
The first winery that comes to mind is Ronchi di Cialla - red, white and sweet wines, all very good.
In Italy/Slovenia, Friuli/Brda in general have a many producers (and varieties) that do well in both red and white despite being more famous for whites. La Castellada and Blazic are two other good examples.
Unfortunately no. I end up buying it as it enables me to get the rosé from one particular retailer. I have friends who like it more than I do so I open it for them.
