I enjoyed a big glass of the wine with dinner where it paired seamlessly with some simple Italian food from around the corner. Now, for the rest of the bottle, as I sit out a typhoon in Hong Kong. Very friendly and approachable, the fruit is plush and the tannins very soft. No doubting there was a fair bit of oak in the wine in youth. It has meshed well with age, perhaps the last few glasses dry out a little.
All in all, there’s a lot to like with this Barbaresco. Mineral-earth scented with planky wood spice and licorice like dark fruits. Lovely and full in the mouth, soft and boney tannins complete a rounded finish. I’d suggest you drink up!

Very welcoming and well worth the effort if you are in the area.
Anyone know the story with the Riserva versus Ronchi and the above Vigneto Brich Ronchi?
