Now Carlos, be honest. You have seen me “live”. As handsome as I am in pics, you know that it is 3x better live. Especially when I gave you that full-body hug! And after cocktails.
Rumor has it, this guy is taking the helicopter in for a private tasting tomorrow.

So the average price was more than twice what you paid for Magdelaine 1970. I told you, you were not worthy, and here is proof.
Yes!
Transactions on that 1979, 1998 and 2000 are closed, Mark! No rescission of transaction based on your customer confusion! And I’ve never been worthy.
We all KNEW you looked good
The wine
Not so much
Not french
Claus,
who is the artist of your avatar?
Incidentally, I found Rollo’s formula, prized like the formula to coke.

Translates to: Let it hang longer, then use new french oak.

As one (former) Floridian to another, no ban necessary. I often enjoy well made wines at both ends of the spectrum, appreciating them for what they are. I love a simple muscadet as much as a cali cab. I have never understood the fuss about such preferences in wine - you like what you like. Or maybe I just have no taste buds…
Best,
Greg
Greg,
You lost me at Foley Claret. Now I understand the cause - you are a Florida man. https://www.wineberserkers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=114551 [around post 1220 to around post 1250]
Hope that you are doing well.
That is correct. I just got the invoice. It’s $325 per bottle. Just found it all over the internet for under $300.
I assume no posts from you in the future discussing how overpriced Burgundy or classified Bordeaux are?
The great winery tours are the ones that get you to buy wine you don’t even like.
In this case I’m not sure how many people really won’t like it. It’s a very well made wine in a super friendly style. It’s more an issue of where you want to spend your money. Their setting certainly loosens wallets.
My other impression of Ovid is that you pay a fairly large premium to buy from the winery.

I love paying more. It tastes better.
Plus, that marks you as an upper AA level playa.
The premium just reinforces the “tastes better at the vineyard” phenomenon.
Damn, buying Rolland wines and dissing Teslas? Todd, where’s the “ignore” button, or do I just move him from the “friends” box to “foes”?
So am I now in the club, on the list? Or am I just a two-bit transient purchaser!?
I love Ovid wines. Have visited and the experiences as described. Definitely worth it.

You are now half a bit, mate
Knowing your demonization of Rolland, inside the lair of the beast:
Clearly charged up from his recent luxorious Napa getaway…Robert reached out to me regarding getting together for an evening WB Ovid offline wine dinner…
I quickly went into survival mode by officially blocking his number and putting him on ignore…there will be some debilitating effects from this news, but I believe slowly now life for me can return to normal.

Bobby loves Ovid too, but he loves attention even more.

I awake at 8:30, still on Cali time, to way too much attention from you fools:
And I’ll refrain from posting the real raunchy stuff!
