Should we change Berserkerfests to sequential numbers?

Yes, but keep the previous Berserkerfests as is
Example: Berserkerfest 3 NYC. November 5, 2010. PDH (Peking Duck House).

This tells the reader everything they need to know about the event.

I like this, but to just tweek it a little, I like Roman numerals better. More gravitas. Also, I like the location first and then what number event it is for that location, so I’d propose the following:


NYC Berserkerfest III - November 12-14, 2010. PDH (Peking Duck House).

Yeah, let’s make it less confusing for everybody by getting rid of the remainders and replacing the numbers with some ancient numbering system.

Flawed poll was left out. Todd, you’re making this difficult. Berserkerfest sounds like, and is, a major gathering. It gets confusing when we have them on the east coast and west coast.

The solution:

Berserkerfest (fill in the number) (fill in the location). Always have the date and location in the thread title. Most casual readers/lurkers don’t have a clue where 3.5 is.
If they know wherethe event is going to take place, they might even open the thread.

Example: Berserkerfest 3 NYC. November 5, 2010. PDH (Peking Duck House).

Except for the wackiness of the participants!! But maybe that’s best left to the imagination !

Okay, so the results are overwhelming in support of both Brett Favre and changing the numbering system.

It’s now official, that we will have, from this point forward (someone inform Leo, as he will fight it) have Berserkerfests in chronological numerical order.

I think it might be more confusing to change the past ones, so let’s start with 3.25, and call that puppy 4, ok?

The only potential issue I can think of is for people like Leo who plan 6 months ahead of time - he will need to number his Berserkerfest, but there could, as in this case, be one or more in between the last Berserkerfest and his, so we might have to have the NYC 'fests be somewhat flexible in numbering, meaning they could start out as 5 (which is what it will be), but change to 6 if another comes along.

We good?

(For those who plan the events, you can use any form of numbering you like - binary, Roman numerals, or standard numbers. Whatever fills your Twinkie)

I’ve edited Napa 3.25 to 4.0. My only request was to leave the prescheduled ones alone, especially only 2 weeks away, we’ll need to change name tags & stuff already made. But sh!t happens and I’ll live
