A Shock: Fourrier Bourgogne preferred to a Grand Cru.

Thank you Tom for a very interesting take. It might change your opinion that I served the two bottles one after another, so the Jadot was drunk by itself with the duck and as the last drops were being poured, we started on the Bourgogne. It was interesting that people started talking about the wine and how much they liked it. When I asked about the Charmes, they said it was fine but the Bourgogne was “exciting.”

Fourrier is generally I find, much more classic than Dugat with just the right number of notes. Dugat seems to have an emphasis on lushness which I don’t find in Fourrier 2014, but did a little in the 2015. Cost BTW of the Fourrier ‘14 after case discount was $36, which I think is a bit of a steal.
