Just got an email from Gary Fisch of Gary’s Wine in NJ which offered a wine and based, to a large part, his recommendation on a post from Cellartracker (poster not id’d except by handle).
Translation: “Hey, some random person who tried this liked it. Buy now!”
I’ve seen a few retailers using Cellartracker scores to legitimize a sale, especially if there is no critical review of the wine. Kinda funny pushing on the review of only 1 reviewer though.
removed.
How will winemakers now know which reviewers and blobbers to corrupt or fool?
Supposedly go well with yak meat!
