with the significant price hikes, maybe the name should be changed to Heights.
The only bottle to sell at auction this year went for $171 and change.
Last year a bottle made $95.
I’m holding out for the 2 Buck Chuck library offering.
I can’t remember which bottling it was, but its pretty much always on the shelf at our Costco for $40 something.
I did try a bottle of their chardonnay in the last year, and boy that was a real shrill wine. zoikes.
Back in 2017 they were clearing out magnum inventory. In hindsight likely in advance of the sale. A bunch of us picked up pristine magnums of Bella Oaks. I got a 1995 for $120. Still sitting in my cellar waiting for an opportunity to open it

I bought that bottle at the winery.

Heirloom instead of Margaux: Decanted a magnum 1 hour based on the initially forward nose. There is funk and tobacco, but what I liked about it was the complexity combined with being smooth and pleasurable for a California cab.
Thx for the note Joe
Now they are back with a $397(!) '99 Trailside and free shipping only when you purchase two or more!
