Planning to open this for a Bottle Shock party, where I would say the group is not wine geeks and some like younger, fruitier cabs, while others like more age.
Any thoughts on when would be a good time to open this one where it’s sort of in a middle ground of young and good age?

If you are set on opening it now I would open at least 8 hours in advance. Better to wait another 10 years.

10 years is a bit long for my group (some will be nearing 70), so will likely go with the first option.
I assume you all think the 8+ hours should be in a decanter as opposed to simply popping the cork?
