I was at the winery last month and my Daughter favored the silver eagle. Even though it was the 22 I figured Iād max out on that for her. And of course it is the silver so timing couldnāt be better. Fly

The Platt was not listed in my allocation when I ordered yesterday

How long can these age? Whatās the sweet spot?
Itās subjective of course but the SVDās hit their stride for my palate at 5 years.

Check the tasting notes in CT for older RM, theyāre fantastic with 10 years.
I ended up piggybacking on friends for a 1 1/2 cases.
Theyāll never last 10 years because Iāll drink them way before.
The few Iāve had with 10 - 15 years have been great. I donāt think you need to wait to drink these Pinots, as Iāve never found them unapproachable when young, but I prefer mature Pinot and think these age nicely from what Iāve seen.
5 years from vintage or 5 years from release?

Love these wines
Thought I would post this here since itās one of the wines from this release - I just popped the first of my purchase, a 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Wow - it was really excellent. A ton of energy and depth of flavor, but definitely on the red fruit side of the spectrum and not overdone in any way. Fine acid but not dominating, allowing the fruit and even some more exotic/spice flavors to show through. And all of this from a humble SC bottling. Very impressive.
Excited to see what is in the SV bottles as these develop. A single data point, but seems 2023 was very very good in Rivers-Marie Pinot town.
