Decided I should try one if I’m going to continue to buy, and I’m going to continue to buy. Along with 2017 Macdonald and 2017 Dicostanzo Montecillo, one of the best cabernet wines I’ve had in the last couple of years. Amazing balance of structure and fruit, a real pleasure to drink. I know it’s a good one when my wife takes her first sip and says “holy sh#%$t what wine is this?
Starting to think the hype is real.
Pretty impressive response to a ‘22 in particular.
I waited to visit and taste in person. There is no hype, its just real.
Was poking around looking at pricing. What is the list price for the cab? Cheapest I see is ~$189 or so.
175 per, sold in 3 packs
I think that this was the sine about that caused me to start a thread titled something like “I need another $XYZ Napa Cab like a hole in the head.” The some smart ass Berserker (The good Peter. not the other Peter.
) poured me a glass at the Westchester Wine Collector’s dinner. I might have been wrong. It was very very good.
Thanks for this Bob. And to be in the convo as those two other favorites of yours has me giddy. Big fans of both those guys and their wines!
I love reading these messages about the 22 because I was told by a certain someone that I have massive respect for (sold his winery a few yrs back for close to 1 billion) that I shouldn’t release 22 as our first vintage regardless of how good the wine is because the vintage had a black eye.
However, we believed in what was in the bottle and didn’t follow that advice obviously. Happy to hear you liked th wine. ![]()
Decided to finally sign up. I like seeing the interaction, praise, and overall positive vibes on this project.
Looks like I will miss the ‘23’s but hopefully get an allocation for ‘24 in September but don’t know how ‘24 compares.
