The Shifflett Prop Red drinks well young and with just a little air. In my experience, the Cab seems to really get going after a longer decant or on day 2. The Red is a blend of Cab Franc and Merlot and the percentage of each varies by year. I seem to recall it’s been 50/50, 60/40 and maybe even 30/70 in the past, and the two complement each other very well. In short, yes, both are excellent and I buy equal quantities of each.

Did I miss an offering for the 23’s? The chatter here makes me think I might have missed an offer. Just checked my account and looks like I’ve purchased at the end of June, beginning of July the last few years. I haven’t received any save the date emails regarding the 23’s.

Not yet, thought i had missed it as well, since last year’s release was June.
I had sent a note to Will on 8/1 and he said he had this response "not yet - big tasting of multiple vintages later this month - I wanted to get that out into the ether before releasing as the critic bottle scores won’t be out yet. The wines are insanely good and I’m looking to get some other opinions out so folks will believe me when I say it! "
so no specific date, but maybe by end of month?

I think its fair to expect pretty detailed notes. For example, “Good”, “Really Good”, “Wowzers!”. Feel free to leverage the use of exclamation points liberally…

What would be awesome and dangerous would be if W&M follows Rivers Marie lead and does a special library release later this fall. Oh boy.
