Anyone know anything about 2021 Vida Valiente Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon? I can assume a lot about a premium start-up (if this is one?) but I don’t know anything about this offering. Anyone?
I tasted through the entire lineup at their tasting room about three weeks ago.
I posted on another thread that of the four bottlings, this TK actually finished last (their High Ranch bottling from Coombsville was my favorite). That being said, all the wines are top tier (for my palate), and if I was scoring would be 96-97+. The To Kalon will for sure benefit from some ageing in the cellar, and I wouldn’t be shocked that in 3-5 years time, my preference between the four may be completely different.
At the end of the day, if you enjoy Sam Kaplan and To Kalon wines, this is an easy buy…
