2017 Qupe Marsanne Los Olivos District

No idea where this came from. 25% Roussanne.
A really pleasant surprise. Light to medium gold color. Fresh vivid aromas are mostly floral, with a distinct note of coriander seed. The palate is medium in body, nicely round and mouth-coating but with well integrated and balanced acidity. There is a tiny citric note towards the finish, along with a piquant herbal touch. Bravo! Rated 91.5, completely ready but unlikely to go downhill for at least another year.

Based on the examples I’ve tasted, those last for a very long time. Bob Linquist often poured old bottles at tastings.

As Al mentioned, these are usually good for at least a decade - and often are still singing 2-3 decades out.

Cheers.
