$400 / bottle this year, plus tax and shipping. Up $50/bottle from last year.

That’s a big increase. What’s your release date?

Where’s you get this information?

I just looked at my account, my first offer and purchase was back in 2010 for the 2007 vintage. It was $675 for a 3-pack. Now if the rumor is true, we are almost double that price. [cry.gif]

3 pack pricing
2005 $450
2006 $525
2007 $675
2008 $675
2009 ???
2010 $750
2011 $750
2012 $855
2013 $900
2014 $990
2015 $1050

Stop the madness!

…as we all still buy

Well I got my answer. Increased production and an increased allocation.
I got offered 9 bottles @$400. March 1 is the start of my window. Offer is good until March 5.

Sorry about the late reply, got my allocation letter via Snail Mail yesterday. Ordering opens March 1

What do you mean by increased production? Did they plant new vines or do you just higher yields from 2015? Btw, great profile pic, La Proportion Doree is my favorite white wine in Napa! Hoping the 2017 is as good as the perfect 2014.

Not sure about increased production either as I am being offered 9 bottles, which is the same as last year. Now the increased price, lets hope that this is the top, as that $150 “for all to enjoy” window closed a long time ago.

Lol at $400 per. At that price point, adios Scarecrow. I’ll buy more of my 2016 Drinkward Peschon allocation instead.

Production was 1850 cases in 2015
Production is 2000 cases in 2016
I have no idea why the production is larger.

Yes thanks! love the La Proportion doree

Not too hard to see where the increased Scarecrow is coming from. M Etain production has been cut back the past two vintages.

2016 - 850 cases
2015 - 416 cases
2014 - 2100 cases
2013 - 1700 cases
2012 - 1900 cases

Either all of the fruit has been just that good for the primary bottling the past few years or they’ve figured out that making more Scarecrow and less M Etain means more income.

Plenty of opportunities to flip this one.

But point well taken on buying more Drinkward Peschon

I thought that last year when I purchased a 3-pack. Admittedly, I didn’t try too hard, but when I emailed a few of the folks / businesses who regularly pop up on WB stating they have clients standing in line for this stuff, I got no responses.

If $400 a pop, I can’t see there being much of a secondary market for flips on this one.
