2016 Rivers Marie Cabernet release

Ah, that explains why I didn’t notice. I buy more of those!

Grabbed one of each and two Napa’s for early drinking.

I spend money like I have it in my bank. Looks like tuna fish sandwich for me for the next year.

Open & IN !

Shipping is free !

Free to the customers, but not to the winery (where Will works).

I started it with the Pinots, so this is the first time it has affected the Cabernet release but not the first time we have done it. The cost of shipping was just too high on 1-2 btls.[/quote]

hahaha…nothing is free

super indecisive this release… lots of good stuff on the table.

Will, i sent you an email to modify my order… sorry, and thank you!

edit: Will is awesome

In for a mixed case, stoked (and broke).

Holy moly! Check out the fine print at the bottom of the release notice!

“…Pinot and Chardonnay where we saw great quality and quantity in 2017. The wines ripened at much lower sugar levels too so there is great balance in the wines where we are seeing the lowest average pH for any vintage we have ever produced.”

That got me all revved up for the future!!! champagne.gif

Case and a half here. Double negative alert: none of these are not excellent.

3 HL and 3 Lore for me

Too rich for my blood.

Dunn hit today, as well.

All in all, an ouchie day for the wallet.

Whats the price per for Dunn HM and Napa?

130 for HM and 85 for Napa.

I am in even with the NV price increase. They are consistently excellent.

Having trouble deciding what to get. Want it all but can’t.

In for 2 Lore, 2 HL, 2 Panek, 1 Calistoga, and 3 Napa.

Wanted to buy more but REALLY trying to maintain a semblance of a budget, especially with knowing that the 16’s are shaping up to be fantastic wines, and that there are many more releases from worthy producers in the comings weeks/months…

I was distracted and opened a 2014 Lore, thinking I grabbed a NV.

D’Oh!

But, super fabulous. Supple, very well integrated oak, great fruit/structure balance…enjoyable even at this young age. Head and shoulders above the other wines at the tasting we went to.

I am already a fan, but if anybody is on the fence about Lore, go crazy if you can.
