with peanut butter M&M’s. Good lord this is a fantastic combo
I think Alfert puts it in his Camelbak on long bike rides in Orlando summer heat.
Lol. Luv me sum Levet and peanut m&ms but never together. Hmmmm.
Just finished a fantastic seafood dinner with an Oban 18 and Lagavulin 16, and the first thought was, Levet is the Islay Malt of wine.
I may need another. Scotch, that is. And yes, no BS, have a big beach resort bag of M&Ms as I sit on the deck overlooking the ocean on a gorgeous, windy, stormy night, smelling the brine and seaweed. Now thinking of Levet…
And Lagavulin 16 is the Pape Clement of Scotch.
Go figure. Ironically, it’s matured in American oak, which I really do not like in wine.
It’s not so much the oak as the charred peat. Like Alan said, it smells like a BBQ pit. I was a little surprised since I used to like it a lot, but apparently it changed 20 years ago (like Pape Clement!).
