2014 Piere Gelin, Clos De Beze, Gevrey-Chambertin

Aromatically im getting red currant, orange rind, baking spice and some iron. This is drinking beautifully. Im getting silky tannins, red currants along with a mineral tension. Its delicate wine with a great deal of balance but not dense or viscous. I like this style. My first time drinking a Gelin. I had this with plank roasted Chinook and Balsamic roasted beets.

Given life is short and this is drinking so well, I recommend consumption over cellaring.

I don’t have this one but I do have Gelin’s 2014 Zombie Napoleon and I think it could indeed be a good time to pop the cork. Cheers!
