2014 Chorey les Beaune - Drouhin
Youthful medium red color.
Fine nose of violets and cinnamon red hots.
Firm, spicy, red raspberry fruit with a long, dry, slightly bitter finish.
Good acid and tannin levels will allow this wine to age gracefully.
For now: [88 pts]
I enjoyed the 2012 of this and have sought out recent vintages without much luck. It doesn’t seem to be one of the easier Drouhin’s to find. The 2015 is almost nonexistent.
Year after year, this continues to be a reliable quaffer.
If you get it under $25…
Thanks Paul. Agree that it’s a really nice value with enough burg typicity to make it well worthwhile when looking for pinot at a lower cost level. I can’t find t every year either.
