2013 John Anthony Sauvignon Blanc Carneros

After a disappointing Groth Napa Sauvignon Blanc, I went right back to my store and picked this up. Much better!
Color the same really pale straw. Aromas have more intensity, with grass, hay, white spices and a touch of cactus flower. The palate follows through with good intensity, more hay than grass, spices defined into coriander seed with a touch of ginger and a little more of the flowers. This is pretty light in body, but not dilute. There’s plenty of acidity, but hey, it’s Carneros. I’ll take vivid over dull any day. The finish is moderate in length and mirrors the flavors all the way down. Rated 88, up to 2 points of improvement likely over the next year or two.

What was the tariff?

$22, very fair IMO. I picked up another today, will check back in 1 - 2 years.
