2013 Inglenook Rubicon: RP88+ / AG97

How’s that for two different experiences? Parker says drink now (“not terribly expressive”) . Galloni says drink starting in 2020 (“crescendo of aromas, flavors and textures”).

On the regular 2013 Inglenook, RP89 and AG 96.

Tasted one year apart but they couldn’t have tasted the same wine…

That will be a great wine to seek out and see who’s right!

We had the 2011 (this is the top bottle right?) from Mag with prime rib last week and it was surprisingly awesome.

My aha wine was an 01 neibaum coppola rubicon. It was unbelievably good and made most wine I had during my life up to that point seem poor.

I bought it because it was priced silly cheap on the close out shelf at a LWS, like $60 for the mag I think. Expectations were low. But it was great. Structured but rich, very good complexity. Definitely not a Parker wine though.

For the Rubicon or just the Inglenook Estate? That pricing sounds more like the Inglenook Estate. The Rubi is much higher.
