2011 Kapcsándy Family Winery Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard
A $60 purchase on sale. 56% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. This came off as more of a Bordeaux styled wine. It was softer with restrained tannins. Notes of cherry, dried mushroom and red berries. Medium bodied or perhaps even slightly lighter than that. Not a very complex bottle and it seemed underripe in my opinion. I suppose I should have expected this since 2011 was an inferior and wet vintage in Napa. 88-89 points.
