2009 vs 2010 Cote de Beaune red Burgundy

I bought a 6 pack of 2005 Jadot Bonnes Mares. Anyone have any experience with this? Nervous to open one because of the comments on CellarTracker making it sound still so closed down (one guy I think describes it as block of stone :joy:)

No but this does not surprise me. Bonnes Mares needs more time than any vineyard in general and Jadot do make a more tannic style of Burgundy.

Sam, after reading your note and then reading reviews and TN’s on the web, I just bought a 6 pack of the 2010 Jadot Chapelle.

Via con dios!

Should be ready by 2065.

But you have 6, so you can have one each decade to see how it develops.

Last time I checked this was very attractively priced

Nice buy

Ahh good thing, I was hoping it would be ready by 2210, so that my great grandson could enjoy it!

That is a great buy Paul, hope they are to your liking

It is pretty safe to recommend wines that will be good after many of us are dead. Hard to be wrong then.

Those first three are my favorite Jadot go-tos, especially the ever-tasty Ursules. I haven’t had any experience with their CSJ (though I own a little).
Surprise to no one, I’m a big fan of Fourrier’s CSJ, but they are not cheap.

FTR: put me in the 09 camp. Fruit tastes good!
