I have had a couple of these- and they have been fine, one a little funky. But last night- wow. Is this the same wine? Clean, pure red fruit- pure(its what I kept saying). And then the asian spice/sandalwood finish- delicious. Not a super complex wine, but just a delight to drink. No hard edges. No decant, pop and poured and drank over a couple hour period. Loved it- well done!!
I’ve been drinking thru a case of these. They have been all over the spectrum. A bit like playing Russian roulette, but never boring!
Dale- this one was by far the best bottle of 09 FF I have had- very enjoyable.
We opened a bottle of this last Friday evening - my wife detected a mild amount of brett that was not objectionable while I could not taste any at all. She obviously has a much better taste than I. Not as much fruit as the previous 5 bottles we have opened but still a good bottle.
