2007 Domaine Pellehaut Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne Harmonie de Gascogne (France, Southwest France, Gascony, Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne)
Traci purchased this $10 beauty at Berkeley Bowl to accompany a very excellent Indonesian style chicken with peanut sauce and brown rice.
This wine is a pretty terrific cheap white wine made from the Ugni Blanc grape. It’s crisp with plenty of acidity but enough melon, grapefruit, limestone to grab your interest. Palate is a little lean so those looking for a really rich slap you in the face wine will have to look elsewhere…that being said it is rich enough to drink a glass while cooking or lounging around the pool when the weather warms… (2 views)
