Figured somebody out there may be interested in this wine at this price- a full $30 less than most other offerings at W-S. I myself was on the fence for this wine until I saw the price.
…strangest of all it was at Fred Meyer of all places. For you Portland-ites you probably know the Fred Meyer at 28th and Broadway has a pretty respectable wine selection, but I didn’t quite realize how good until tonight. Quilceda, Plumpjack, Gaja, etc. Anyway, just thought those of you in Portland may be interested.

That is a really fine bottle of Vintage Port. At $75 it would be a buy, not at $90, regardless of the fact the JS gave it 100 points. I’ve had it a bunch and we disagree, but it is still a wonderful 2007 and a stellar Dow. $90 for any young Vintage Port is hard to get excited over, but years from now this will probably be a bargain, because of those extra points.

Glad I got mine for $65 a few months ago.
I have seen Dow’s at several retailers in NJ for that price but online they are higher.
After the 100 point score, anything under $100 is a bargain for this Port. That said, I agree with Roy on all fronts. While one of the best Symington VP’s from 2007, and a truly great bottle, I disagree with that score as well. But now the price will never go backwards so if you’re still on the fence about buying, I doubt you’ll find it any cheaper than this in the future.
