2007 Chassagne 1er Cru ‘Les Vergers’ Jean-Marc Pillot -

Light to medium gold color. The aromas are citric and floral, with a hint of honeysuckle. The flavors follow, very intense, very fresh, very mineral, slightly saline. The fruits are now equal parts green apple and lemon, there is a tiny hint of brioche at the end, the only part of this not adamantly youthful. If you told me it was a 2017, I would believe you. This is brilliant. Rated 93.5, up to 3 points of improvement likely over the next decade.
