2007 Caymus SS

other retailers have it for that price as well. ie. wine library

The concept of opening a fat Cabernet with a greasy, cheesy pizza boggles the mind. WTF are you guys smoking? [scratch.gif] Beef, people, beef…

Nick,
There was nothing greasy or cheesy about it. The wine was much bigger than the pizza.

Depending on the acidity of the cab, pizza can work quite well…you should try it.

+1 have done it many times

Wow. That sure is. Wonder if Insignia will follow the same route. They make an awful lot of it these days.

Not going to happen. As good as Caymus SS is, Insignia has been absolutely transcendent lately…

As much as I like the 07 Caymus better than any insignia from 03 to 05, I have picked up some 05 insignia for 120-130 from wine commune in the last 2 months or so. A litte more money but certainly a longsho from the 200 they wanted at the winery when I was there last…

I stopped buying Insignia after the 2002 vintage when I got mine for $95. That wine actually dissapointed me. Made it easy to stop buying the next vintages at $130-150-170.
