2005 Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Blancs - Drank slowly over the course of an afternoon and evening. At this point it has light to medium intensity aromatics of toast, butter, apples and a bit of lemon. With air it has come nicely round and smooth with a bit of aparent sweetness. It has lightweight flavors of lemons and perhaps some other fruit Im too lazy to parse out. For those who like their domestic sparklers lightweight, pretty and a bit crisp this should be right up their alley. Its not complex and probably will never be but its elegant and beautiful and a joy to drink. B+/A-.
A- - man I wish my Champagne tastes were similar to yours, would save me a ton of money!
I’m with you on the sweetness in this wine.
I really like their NV BdN, while not complex it’s a great wine to sip in the deck in the summer. Lots of fresh berries.
Berry, you are like the Allen Meadows of affordable domestic sparklers. Always enjoy your posts on these wines…they are in my mind a top QPR category overall.
