Looking to try something new tonight - would it be criminal to open this one now?

I can’t speak from tasting experience, but based on the longevity of these wines, I’d wait unless you have a number of them and want to follow its evolution. I have a six pack of the Le Clos, and plan to drink one every few years in order to do that.
I haven’t had this vintage, but knowing this wine, I would think it’s too soon. Unless you’ve never had the wine, and ideally you have more. I think it’s always good to try a wine young, much as a winemaker would. Get a sense of it. But don’t drink it now thinking it’s going to give what you bought it for. That will come with time.
Only 3 bottles…I’ll hold off or find something a little less pricey to kill…
