Tasted at the Full Pull warehouse. Dark purple color. This is almost exclusively fruit
from Christophe Baron (Cayuse)'s Cailloux vineyard. The nose on this is extremely vegetal and candidly unappealing. I had the 08 vintage of this recently and thought it was a disaster, so I’m not optimistic.
The palate however showed off elegant cassis, plum and exceptional acid and tannic balance. Beautiful lingering finish as well. Not sure why the aromatics are so out of whack, but a pretty nice wine.
