2003 Clos des Lambrays

2003 Clos des Lambrays
Medium/dark crimson with onion skin at edge.
Mature nose of strawberry and mahogany.
Firm, dried cherry fruit with a long, dry, lipsmackin’ slightly bitter tannic finish.
A lot of complexity is marred by a bit of Brett. Not a huge amount, but just enough to flaw the wine to my taste.
If not for this flaw this atypical 2003 would have been a killer wine. (for those who don’t mind a little Brett, it is)
As such, it’s still a good wine.
