2001 Sherwin

My last bottle of 2001 Sherwin. This is a cab built for aging. Deep and dark mountain fruit that is just starting to show from the its tannin wall. I have enjoyed Steve’s wines from his first vintage in 1996 and this has evolved into a killer cab. Its not bang you over the head but has this backbone of fruit that keeps delivering. A treat at age 16 and will certainly hold for many more years. 94 pts. Sad that it is my last bottle. It was acquired at the winery. Note the signature on the bottle from that day.

I have a daughter that is a 2001 Sherwin. She is also aging nicely.

I wish I liked the wines more. Not really my style.
