2001 Corton “Renardes” (Girardin)
Dark purple-red with amber at the edge.
Rich, funky Pinot nose of spice, salt, ripe plums and pencil lead.
Wonderful, deep, spicy cassis/black cherry fruit with a long aftertaste of licorice.
Young and will improve over the next several years. A fine Corton! [91 pts]
