Going through the Costco coupon book, one of this cycle’s specials is a EuroCave, $250 off, which makes it $1900. Says shipping included. No idea how this price compares, just thought I would pass it on.

As ive been studying for a new unit this one popped up, its the Artevino series which is a slightly lower feature unit than the normal Eurocaves but it does look to be good quality and is half the price of the next unit up. It would be ideal for more long term storage as one of the cost savings is that it comes with fewer shelves so you are stacking bottles on top of bottles which is great if you have all the same bottles for storage but if like me you use the unit at home for access to drinkers it can be annoying
I count 73 bottles in the photo.
A friend has that unit; they purchased it from Costco last year. If they have problems, they can return it with little to no hassle. They purchased extra shelves which is a plus but it does drop the overall bottle count. They have 2 shelves that store bulk; they store their babies there so they rarely pull wines from that mess. The remaining shelves are 2 deep with 1 layer so it’s easy to find the daily drinkers that they place there.
Note that this is the new, revised Model 2 unit in the sale flyer.
There is a 155 bottle Vinotemp available in stores for $999…that’s a much better deal.

I bought a 300 bottle Vinotemp from Costco about a year ago for $1699 delivered into my basement. Could not be happier.
I have that unit, or at least whichever model was offered last year around this time. Have never had any issues with the unit. Not sure you can actually get 200 bottles in there, last time I did any type of check/inventory I had about 150 bottles. Definitely keep the bottles I don’t plan on opening anytime soon in this unit. I have a “natural cold storage” room where I keep everything else.
I have this model, as well. Currently I have 168 bottles in it…creatively stacked. That’s about the most I could fit, between the tall BDX-shaped Napa cabs and irregular champagne bottles. I’m continually re-evaluating my storage method, as I feel I can still fit more somehow. Keeping the location tracked via CellarTracker has made locating things a breeze… I have the Location set to ‘Artevino’ and the Bin is the shelf number. I’ve gone so far as to have two bin entries per shelf to be able to specify front and back (e.g. - Shelf 3 (front) or Shelf 3 (back)).
A word of warning - do not block the back space between the shelf and back of the unit. That is critical to keeping the airflow going, and thus keeping the humidity accurate. I had inadvertently blocked it with the bottles on one of the 3-tier storage shelves and discovered moisture build-up and slight molding on labels.
Another tip: You can buy the charcoal filter for the air-hole in the rear of the unit. This is a re-branded Eurocave, and I picked up a pack of these: EuroCave Universal Charcoal Filter - Wine Enthusiast
Irks me how the companies lie about the capacity of these cabinets. Like anyone is just going to stack bottles from floor to ceiling in one of these.
One of many things not to like about wine cabinets, along with price, reliability, difficulty and cost of obtaining service and repairs, racks not fitting larger bottles, and so forth.
Reminds me of buying a set of pots and pans… 14-piece set! But 6 pieces are the lids…
I still like my Artevino. Without the Costco backing, I wouldn’t have sprung for one. My unit came with a damaged door, and Costco got the replacement out to me in no time.
For what it’s worth, I bought the wine enthusiast 166 at Costco. With some thought of bottle arrangement, I’m able to fill all the racks to capacity without issue. I put mags on the top shelf, and champagne in the bottom area. So I’m at 158 bottles. I’d say that’s pretty damn good.
I bought a Pioneer plasma TV at Costco in the early 2000’s. It was priced really well, but it sure did not perform like the other Pioneer TV’s that I saw at my friend’s house. Turns out the TV was not actually a Pioneer, but a branded model sold just by Costco. I had a similar experience with a high computer purchased through Costco. The Jelly Belly jelly beans are clearly labeled as seconds and not sold by the manufacturer. I would call the Eurocave and verify that it is a current and similar model to what they offer.
I have this unit and had around 200 bottles in it but it was so tight I couldn’t slide out any shelves and I had scraped a few labels. I pulled everything out and rearranged the shelves into the following quantities and now have 187 bottles in it but it’s much less frustrating:
24+12+24+24+24+24+36+19=187
Bottom shelf is where the compressor is so you lose the back half of the bottom shelf. This is a good place for Turley or Champagne bottles.
