Had this at Tour d’Argent today. Fabulous, especially the fragrant nose. What an amazing wine list they have!

Was in a French restaurant last year that had the 1996 Rougeard but at a price point that was well above my pay grade.

I think he meant “Bud-ray”.
1996 was a lovely vintage for Baudry and Chinon in general, not tasted any for years though. Did taste the 1997 La Croix Boissée with Matthieu last year though (or maybe the year before) which was still holding up well. Two good vintages.

Hopefully this isn’t gauche to ask. I’ve heard the list is spectacular but you pay for it. I imagine this is a more budget friendly option. Mind me asking what it cost?
I think it was 145 euros or something very close to that. I felt it was a more than fair price.
