I wasn’t expecting much from this bottle tonight, but I was blown away. Still very much alive with great dusty spicy zin fruit. Very light and elegant with fine tannins. 14.3 % alc. Sourced from the Eschen Vineyard, which was 70 years old at the time. Apparently now known as “Rinaldi-Eschen” after having been sold. This winery is still around, but there are very few reviews on Cellartracker. Maybe Tom Hill has some more info? Nice surprise.
