1990 La Ragose, Amarone

1990 La Ragose, Amarone.

We drank this last night for our 13th Anniversary.
I was a little surprised how young this wine tasted. Secondary aging characteristics are just coming around. In the mouth the wine had purple fruit notes that are fresh and vibrant. In general I would say that the fruit component dominated the wine. There was also a little bit of tar and leather. The texture was excellent, and the wine had great length. The wine is fully enjoyable now, but could go another 10-15 years.

Sounds like a nice drink. I keep meaning to add more Amarone to the cellar, but only end up drinking whatever I purchase. Such tasty juice.
