WHOA…what’s going on here???
Wow!! That’s a little price increase
You can ask
Someone with 25 cases of 1969 Chapellet sent in 2 bottles and is bidding it up to dump 25 cases.
Those bottles look unrealistically and suspiciously too pristine to me.
I would love to know the back story on why someone has been sitting on this stash for fifty years (if indeed there are 25 cases.)
No fucking way…
What is going on here…
It is considered one of the bucket list Cabernets. I know of a couple of people who have been looking for it for some time. Obviously very rare.
Wow $7k. It is going to be a little harder to open my lone bottle. Napa prices have moving up significantly ever since the Joseph Phelps auction.
Wild. I bought two bottles at auction of the 1971 recently. Really pretty if a tad primary. My cost was ~$200/bottle. I can’t imagine paying anywhere near this.
From a previous Zachy’s auction?
I have a couple collector friends who have a personal connection to the wine and really want to buy/drink one. DM me if you have one to trade or sell.
It has an Acker sticker too, maybe from the auction lot shown below. This bottle probably has Platinum status on United.

Can someone explain what’s so special about the 69?
No idea, maybe these guys can help
Floored at what it is going for.
The ‘69 is (was?) a lovely wine, but not a $10K wine (but to me, no wine is)
