I was under the impression that it is disgorgement variation, but of course that would also be bottle variation.

I’ve been thinking on this Michael. It would be interesting to taste however many different disgorgements have been done side by side. In fact, I don’t know how many they’ve made.

I’ve had such little vacation from all of the bottles I’ve tasted, I could not detect any real discernible differences and if I did, I’m not sure whetter I could sort out the other influences of the time, place, food pairing, my mood, etc.

I purchasd two six packs at the same time and the bottles I’ve drunk so far have been great. So my comment was based on what I have read, not on personal experience.

Understood. Out off curiosity, I emailed the house this am to inquire about how many disgorgements and their dates for the 06` Comtes. I also asked if there is any way to ID a specific bottle as there is no back label code. I’ll get back if they reply.
