Yes, they made it clear. Take our wine from a very subpar year in order to get a much better year. Real cool for a brand new label (sorry, I’m not gonna say “project”). What other Ecotone producers released in 2020. But trust me bro.
It leaves a bad taste. I guess we are all free to purchase or not purchase.

This is the issue I have as well. 3 releases within 11 months, each of which is at/above my threshold in terms of $/bottle. It’s a bold sales strategy but I was well aware of the potential consequence for skipping the 2020. I will likely buy the 2021 if offered but if I miss out I won’t be heartbroken (probably doing me a favor).

I just signed up a few weeks ago. Already says I qualify for an offer tomorrow. That is of course if it isn’t sold out
Had lunch with Jack yesterday and was able to taste the 2020, which I purchased but had not yet opened, alongside the 2021.
There is nothing subpar with the 2020. For the first hour it more than held its own against the ‘21. I don’t understand the comments about being undervalued as someone who has purchased since 2019. As others noted, you’re welcome to spend your $ as you see fit.
For me, this was a very easy purchase this morning.

I agree, especially since they didn’t mention that at the beginning of the 2020 release but rather later, presumably when they weren’t selling as expected.
AG must have had a touch of Covid when he tasted because the 19 is fantastic.

As you have added our wines to your cellar in the past, you have two hours early access to the offering before we open it to our full mailing list. We are grateful for your support of double o one.”
Interesting. I also ordered 19 but not 20 and didn’t receive the email. My allocation was active early though
I got one 3-pack. Ordered in 2019 but not 2020.
First time buyer release appears to be live for those in that tier and interested.
Would love to take part, but cannot justify it budget-wise right now.
