for those who purchased 2020 - release is open (note-recently tasted the 2019 with a group of wine lovers and we all thought it was outstanding)

Winemaker Graeme MacDonald crafted a blend of 85.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11.3% Cabernet Franc, and 3.4% Petit Verdot. Graeme describes the wine as " Bursting from the glass with notes of fresh brambly mountain fruit, wild blueberries, dried sage, pencil shavings, and hints of dark chocolate. A beautifully balanced wine expressing restraint, purity, and a sense of place. Thirty-four year old hillside vines add depth and concentration across the palate with fine noble tannins and a mouth-watering finish. A nod to the classic wines of the Napa Valley."

Will be one of the easiest purchases for me this year. Will be going max offer for this one based on how good everyone says the 2021 is.

Price? Guess im now 2nd tier since bought 19 but not 20

Still $225 per bottle/$675 for the 3 pack. No movement on that front.

Already grabbed 6 and wished for a magnum. the 21 sounds wonderful and the 2020, in spite of a challenging year, was very nice.

First time buyer, but i received a email the other day saying that I would receive an allocation tomorrow. assuming that means its not first come first serve?

My 001 account states

"Thank you for your interest in our wine. Our 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Ecotone Vineyard will be offered to new patrons on Wednesday, February 5th.

Due to our limited production, this offering is available on a first-come, first-served basis."

Any idea what time the offer opens tomorrow? I got the new patron email a few weeks back saying the offer would be on 5 February but no time was listed.

Today opened at 12pm (ET)/9am (PT), so I would imagine they would open it at that time tomorrow as well.

So those who supported the initial release are not valued? They only “value” those who took on the 2020 vintage that many top tier wineries opted to not release? Hmmm

I think those that purchased both of the first two offering get an extra day or 24 hours to claim theirs before they open up to the list

Order in for a 3pk. I only the purchased the 2020 but I personally don’t find it all that surprising when you skip a release, you move towards the back of the line. I thought that was standard policy for “wait lists”

Exactly, kind of crappy way to treat customers early on. The 2019 offering was within the past year, so not like it was years ago.

I bought a 3-pack of the 2019 from the winery on release, and then quickly saw it was available elsewhere I think for the same or a slightly lower price second hand.

Doesn’t seem like a ton of upside buying these at $225/btl but given the winemaker I figured I’d give it a shot. I haven’t tried my bottles yet. AG’s review of 93 pts for the 2019 isn’t too inspiring for the price but sounds like others have liked it more.

Honestly at $225/btl + weak consumer market not sure one would need to ‘rush’ into buying it even if its only ~250 cases or so

I took 2 3 packs. Had the 2019 and it was excellent. Also ordered the 2020 but haven’t opened one yet.

This is exactly where I’m at.

Three vintages released in less than a year is an interesting way to go.
