Forum rules
Forum rules
Not 'Rules', necessarily, but here's how BerserkerDay goes:

I'll be launching offers in groups of 8-10, in increments of 30 minutes. Sponsors will stay pegged at the top of the forum all day, each new group of offers will come in at the top with them for their launch grouping, cycling into the 'normal' thread after their launch time has passed, with a new launch group posted atop the thread thereafter. Discussion is encouraged, as posting replies moves the thread up to the top of the grouping, whether that is during launch time group or the 'regular' forum.

Keep checking in every 30 minutes for new offers being posted, and keep scrolling down to see everything that has been launched throughout the timeframe in which you've been on the forum, which hopefully is ALL DAY

Chris and I are coordinating to fulfill all the BD12 / Grand Reserve Specials. You fill out the survey to let Chris know what you want; you use your points once available to check out. Then we tell Chris your points are ready and he (once all the glasses are arrived) releases based on your survey. Any problems, contact us; we'll sort it out!

March 8th Update

We have cargo officially in Chicago. You will begin receiving emails with your tracking data as early as today (in fact, now for some of you).

Update to follow when I know delivery to my facility (house!) and from there we'll start shipping to you.

Got my UPS update. If they're in Naperville, maybe I can get them by Wednesday in Chicago so I can use on Larry's Tercero tasting that night.

March 11, 2021 - 8:00 AM CST

Cargo delivery today confirmed!!!

Packages will begin leaving Naperville today. We have 1,000 confirmed packages to send out folks. It's going to be a tad nuts. I have friends and family showing up to help and UPS will be doing two pickups a day until these are all out.

Things to remember and be aware of:

Voyage and Voyage + are still inbound; And none were paid for, no obligation required. We simply wanted an idea of interest. ETA end of May

XL Polishing Cloths & Bouchons are also still en route to me. You'll get a separate package for those.

I am 100% confident I'll make a few mistakes
I am 100% confident we will miss an order
I am 100% confident we will fix all mistakes and make sure all orders get to you.

Use "Info@cjfselections.com" - this email is monitored by me and the team so you'll have more eyes on it.

Breakage will happen in transit: Photo of the glass (recycle it after), order # or tracking # (photo your box), and email info@cjfselections.com and new glass(es) will be sent out.

THANK YOU for your patience. But, the day has come and we are ready to pack and ship!

depends - the ROI on it is somewhat low at this point - but, now that we have distribution in N. Hollywood + Boston, the ability to get them to my team is superior.

I'll duplicate this post in post #1

march 16

1 - We oversold 1855's. Some of you may be getting glasses without tubes. if you need them, email me directly (chris@cjfselections.com) and I'll get you a tube(s) in the near future (15-20 days)
2 - 1000 more 1855's hit NYC on Sunday, we should have them in 7-10 days. The last batch of orders will ship then.
3 - Cloth XL, Bouchon - are NOT in hand. Those will all be separate packages to you soon (7-15 days)
4 - Voyage and Voyage + - none of you paid for them. They are still stuck in China. Then they head to Slovakia. Then to me. Look for an update on them in May
5 - Due to the delay, we are extending WB sale day pricing. BUT - we are not doing so until all orders are filled. Look for a link to a private listing site on my page in 2 weeks
6 - Glasses break. We will replace them. All I need is a photo (insurance) and what broke and your order number. From there, look for replacements to arrive based on inventory (Liberté, Mineralité, and all Elemental lines are in good stock)

Emails to use

chris@cjfselections.com or info@cjfselections.com

Thank you again for your patience. But, 550 packages have been sent since Friday. Lots and lots of you will be getting stuff soon.

Thank you for the great communication.

Do want to confirm, even if the shipping emails states the bouchon and cloth are included they’re coming later? No worries either way, just wanted to make sure.

Joshua, that's exactly correct. The Bouchon and XL are on the current cargo (NYC Harbor now, working its way to me in Chicago)

The Voyage (Travel cases) are still in China and have to go to Slovakia first.

It took a long time for my Grand Reserve bonus points to post, as they are apparently tied to the first payment due date, but as soon as they did I ordered my BD Grassl six-pack and they arrived today, all in great shape, shipped in 6 tubes with a handy snug-fitting box, all bubble-wrapped inside the shipping box. With my BD purchase from last year, plus the two for the Grand Reserve sign-up, I'm now up to four stems each of 1855, Cru, Liberté, and Mineralité. Love these stems!

Thanks Chris, and Cheers! [cheers.gif]

Thanks...never a doubt.
I want to point out to others that I forgot I had ordered 4 stems before the BD12 was announced. This order I received was my 1st order.
I am still due 12 stems.
At the end I will end up with 6 stems of Liberte 6 Cru and 6 1855. All from opening a Grand Reserve account. Pretty incredible and the stems are beautiful. They are getting their trial run tonight with some Morlet.

My 1855s arrived last week - no tubes but perfect condition. Wife's first comment: "beautiful!"

Tried them twice so far, once next to a Riedel cab glass (Vinum or Veritas, can't remember which). I didn't do detailed comparisons, but one thing I noticed right away is that notes I could only smell after swirling in the Riedel were immediately apparent in the Grassl. The "funnel" shape really does work as intended.

Love the glasses so far, excited to try with some other wines. Thanks, Chris, for your great communication throughout the process!

We don’t drink a lot of 1855 classification wines but will have to open one to honor the name. Thinking La Lagune 2005.

The 1855 is everything I hoped it would be!

Need to buy more.

My 6 Cru arrived; just as beautiful + functional as the 1855 and Liberte! My biggest issue now is what to do with all the stemware that my Grassl are displacing in the China cabinet.

You will once you put a good pour of wine in it. It needs a wider base otherwise it gets very top-heavy with the light weight.

Yep. The wide base is a life saver when you've had a bit too much and put the stem down crooked or bump it with your hand when you go to pick it up. It's so incredibly stable.

We don’t drink a lot of 1855 classification wines but will have to open one to honor the name. Thinking La Lagune 2005.

Interesting choice of the 1855 over the Cru for Pinot?

I only have 3 Grassl glasses. 1 Cru and 2 1855’s. (1 Cru broke) My daughter used the Cru. My wife and I used the 1855’s.
That said the wine was delicious.

We are loving the 1855s and find them totally on par with the Bdx glasses from Zalto. It’s a joy to pull them out of the cabinet and pour a nice wine into them.

I know lots of people are pleased, but I gotta say, it's quite frustrating as the goalposts seem to keep moving.

In two weeks I'm leaving for at least a month in Europe. It sounds like they will ship when I am gone (and no one here to pick them up) or I won't get them for another two months. :(

The wide base is an issue for storage, but I'm making my own rails for the cabinet to hold them (eventually). My metal stemware holder was just too narrow and won't fit Cru or 1855. We use them enough now, that sitting out "cup up" isn't an issue as there's no time to collect dust :)

If anyone found a commercial rack/accessory that fits the bigger Grassl's, I'd be interested. Probably won't get to building my own for a few months.

The 1855 is my perfect and favorite glass. It will be worth the wait. Chris, will take care of you.

My most anticipated Berserker Day purchase. Just patiently waiting and looking forward to falling in love with the glasses to justify ordering the Libertes. Thanks for the update.
