It was really tough to limit my choices to four cheeses. It depends a lot on the occasion, wines, and accompanying goodies.

Well, I enjoy many cheeses not on this list, but I voted for my fave four from the list. Also, check to see how many vote for St. Andre and how many for Saint Andre. You might want to add the votes together!

My other was Valdeon a blue veined Spanish Goat/Cow milk cheese wrapped in chestnut leaves.

After reading that list, I am feeling a mite peckish, esurient in fact, and could use some of the fromage of la belle France…

Sheesh, I may in fact need to make CheeseTracker.com someday. Impressive list!!!

Somebody told me once that there were over a thousand cheeses from France alone…I am guessing it is way higher if you count the various farmhouse and fresh cheeses made.

Flawed poll, no Comblanchen, Ami du Chambertin, or that Sardinian one with the grubs in it.

I wonder why I trend toward Italian cheeses?
