The Best $20 Or Under Sparklers Availabe?

Region doesn’t matter, but the wines must be dry. What is out there that offers the most bang for 20 bucks? Thanks.

Chidaine Montlouis Brut NV.

Lucien Albrecht Cremant d’Alsace Brut Rosé. 100% Pinot Noir and it shows. Lovely wine. Around $20.

+1

Also, while maybe not as great as that, a couple that are easier to find:

Gloria Ferrer Brut
Roederer Estate

Mirabella for rose.

Just recently found the Parigot Cremant de Bourgogne Brut Rose, $20. Really nice stuff for the price.

Belluard Ayze Brut

Slightly more than a year ago, Leonardo LoCascio’s shipment to our market of the Zardetto Prosecco was simply to-die-for.

Unfortunately, I could never discern anything in the way of a vintage year or a disgorgement batch number on any of the bottles, which means that there’s always the possibility that quality could vary rather substantially from shipment to shipment.

On the hopelessly arrogant & snobbish AFWE end of things, there’s always the Huet Petillant, at just a little more than $20, but man, that stuff is quite raw and overpowering as a young wine - in all honesty, it’s not even that fun to sip on.

I’ve always wondered what the Petillant might drink like after 20 or 30 years of cellar time - given that it’s Chenin, there’s the possibility that it could mellow into something really spectacular - but 20 or 30 years ain’t gonna do you any good if you’ve been sent out of the house with a last minute shopping list for a dinner party which starts in only 2 or 3 hours.

A lot of Cavas will rock your world for under $20. Also Col Fondo (bottle fermented, unfiltered, bone dry) Prosecco.

Gruet!

Also I think there was a thread on the Costco champagne… haven’t tried it personally, but it sounded like a great party sparkler.

Gloria Ferrer BdB…Nothing touches it for the $…fruit, relative dryness, and a good finish.

Agree, but about $5 more per than my perennial Gloria Ferrer BdB.

Albrecht, Parigot, and Bouillot I like in that price point.
Commonly available are Ferrer brut & Piper Sonoma brut, the latter of which I like for cocktails.
Around $20 is Pepie Bulles by Domaine Pepiere, which is also lip-smackingly good.

Domaine Spiropoulos Ode Panos Moschofilero is another thought. How many of you have had a Greek sparkling wine?

Roederer Estate is not always under $20 but often is and I like it as much as anything I’ve had in that range.

Lots of good ones mentioned already, but no list would be complete without Jacky Blot’s Domaine de la Taille aux Loups Montlouis Triple Zero.

I would say Roederer last year but the new N.V. is not nearly as good. Mumm Brut Prestige is my go to Sparkler under $20.

Agree, I like both!

Gruet

If you like BdB, Mumm Napa’s is great.
