Wine Blogs?

I always check in on Wells On Wine.
I was wondering if there are any other wine blogs like this that review wines pretty frequently that any Berserkers could recommend.

What is it you’re interested in? Reviews in general? There are plenty of reviews around - Wine Advocate has reviews for a lot of wine, so does Wine Spectator. If you want high scores, I guess Suckling is still writing. And then there is Vinous - lots of reviews.

Whether any of the reviews are of value is a different issue though.

Can’t recommend a lot of blogs for their reviews. The author would have to taste a lot more wine than I, have a palate I respect, and have a style that’s interesting, if not compelling.

There are a few blogs that can be interesting although they don’t do a lot of reviews - Winediarist and Drvino for example, or for more fun, Hosemaster’s blog.

Some of my favorite wine blogs include:
Artisanwine.blogspot.com

A bit limited in scope, but this is one I read:

http://princeofpinot.com/

He doesn’t write much these day’s but Keith’s blog is always worth reading when he does:

I simply have to give a shout-out to my buddy Otto’s blog:

http://repositoryofuselessinformation.blogspot.com/

His blog also features arachnids and beer reviews so it’s an interesting read.

Thanks for all the recommendations!
Was looking for more general blogs/reviews more than professional reviews/takes.

Ken Zinns, Tom Hill are both frequent contributors on this site - they do a really comprehensive blog on mainly California wines - and really dig into some of the ‘lesser known’ areas like the Sierra Foothills’ - a great reference.

Cliff Brown (think he still posts here occasionally) does a nice job with his wine blog

Thanks Karen!

Run for cover!

That blog has gone downhill since its vaunted sparkling wine correspondent left. [tease.gif]

Several of the blogs I enjoy reading have been mentioned already: GrapeNutz, Gargantuan, Terroirist…

I am also open to the “commercial” blogs, but the deeper insight and original (often off-the-wall) concepts are typically found on private blogs by passionate wine nerds.

Thanks, Jeb! I’ll be back soon, Scott! champagne.gif

It’s already been mentioned, but I love Gargantuan Wine. Such thoughtful, excellent content.

This one focuses on Italian wines

And here I thought Scott was referring to himself. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

My best recommendation is that you have a look at Winosapien.

I’ve been following him for years now and the format has been largely the same. No samples policy, not ITB, no points, but very good TNs on his experiences. Plus his palate is probably more in the AFWE spectrum when compared to most Aussies so take that for what it’s worth.

Thanks Karen, intrulybappreciate the kind words. Our website can be accessed even easier these days. www.tuscanvine.com

Grazie e Salute!
