Wine Blogs?

YES. This site is incredible.

A friend of mine

One of the more serious wine blogs available

One time he hosted a wine dinner at his house and brought in a couple of guys from the movie SOMM.
I didn’t make it, but it was my understanding that they were very good blind with young wines but considerably less so with older wines…makes sense.

Wondering what blogs are geared towards value and $20 wines?

Meanwhile, not a blog but Levi Dalton’s “I’ll Drink To That!” interviews are incredible and well worth any wine lover’s time.

HIs old blog
http://soyouwanttobeasommelier.blogspot.com/
was good but hasn’t been updated in about 2 years.

I think the super, soaraway http://Elitistreview.com is a bloody brilliant blog filled with lewd jokes and suggestive asides!

But then, I would say that…

Anon,
Davy.

I’d second Levi Dalton’s podcast I Drink to That and Claude Kolm’s The Fine Wine Review. Links can be found in early comments.

Thanks for the mention, Wade, though I think it might be of interest only for arachnophiliac Finns since it does concentrate on what’s available here.

One blog that I very much enjoy reading is Steve Slatcher’s Winenous: http://www.winenous.co.uk/wp/ It is a mix of reviews and history and science on often contentious issues like biodynamics. I think it is the historical and scientific posts that are especially interesting.
