In some cases I would imagine yes.
But, everything turns brown around here when spring is done. Don’t need roundup for that to happen.

At Pagani the answer is probably yes, at Old Hill definitely no.
Good idea, Rat. I have many from year’s past, here are a couple. BTW, I always like seeing Larry’s work, as it hangs in my house.
I believe this is James Berry Vineyards next to Saxum Winery
Monte Bello Vineyards on the top of the world…
Rhys Vineyards - I think Alpine?

These are awesome! Keep 'em coming!
Rosewood Vineyards Mourvèdre (Redwood Valley)
Skinner Vineyards Mourvèdre (El Dorado County)
Great shots. The old head trained vines, wow, massive fruit!
To keep on the Mourvedre theme, this is Two Acres:

Christ I never knew there were Mourvedre vines that old in Cali. How is the wine?
Year after year it is a wonderful wine.
Junior, that Skinner Vineyards shot appears like it could belong to an elaborate model toy train set. Freakish shot, but a good one at that.
Thanks,
Kenney
Nick,
There is a lot of old-vine Mourvedre over in the Pittsburg/Antioch area of ContraCostaCnty. Planted by Portugese settlers
in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. They refer to it as Mataro…the name Ridge prefers to use for Mourvedre. They used to make
Mataro from those old vines but dropped it in the mid-'90’s. The soil is very sandy there, so there’s no problem w/
phylloxera and many of those Mataro vnyds are own-rooted.
Tom
Hardy,
Who takes these Rosewood Mourvedre grapes? Do you make some from them??
Tom
Here are a few more…this is great fun.
Damn Frankie those two Rhys pics almost look identical. Had to do a double, er triple, er quadruple take on that. Loving the Cardiac fruit!
Keep em coming guys!

Here is an area we don’t talk about much, the Okanagan in the Vancouver area.
