Under- and Overrated Cocktails

The New York Sour is another sour which seems particularly underrated, in my opinion. Distinguished from a whiskey sour by a float of about 2 tsp of red wine. When well made it is both tasty and beautiful. Or, this variation on the New York Sour by Tony Conigliaro is incredible and perfect for summer:

1.5 oz cognac
.75 oz lemon juice
.75 oz egg white
.5 oz simple syrup
2 tsp creme de peche
.25 oz dry white wine, floated on top
